Lapsang Souchong (Zhengshan Xiaozhong) was born around Tongmuguan in Wuyishan, Fujian, and is one of the oldest black tea styles, known for pine-smoke processing. While unsmoked and flavored versions are common today, 7T+ offers a traditional naturally smoked style. In classic production, local leaves are withered with pine-fired heat, then dried in multi-story wooden houses where smoke rises through the structure and slowly perfumes the leaf. Here, gentle smoke integrates seamlessly with black tea flavor and dried longan-like fruit notes. This lot uses real pine firewood, not cheap fuel sticks.
