Asamiya, in the Shigaraki Highlands of Shiga, is a historic tea region with roughly 1,200 years of history. Cool mountain air, frequent morning mist, and around 400m elevation shape a clean, elegant Sencha profile. Soft umami arrives first, followed by a crisp, tightening astringency and a long, refreshing finish that carries a mountain-like clarity.
